Savory Nuts & Seeds

Start first by soaking 2 cups of your preferred nuts or seeds (walnuts, pecans, almonds, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds) in salted water overnight. Doing this will make the nutrients in the nuts or seeds easier to digest and assimilate. This is because, in their raw state, nuts and seeds contain numerous enzyme inhibitors (which are not deactivated by toasting alone).

Sauteed Liver – The Nutritive King of Meats
I borrowed the subtitle for liver from my first nutritionist mentor (via books), Adelle Davis.

Obtain a healthy cow’s liver from your local farmer’s market.

Saute onions and/or bacon in butter and/or coconut oil for several minutes. Take those out of the pan and set aside.

4 oz. softened cream cheese
3/4 c. softened butter
1 T. vanilla
4 large eggs
1 c. coconut flour
1/3 c. honey
1/4 t. baking powder
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1/3 c. cream
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Favorite Fresh Juice Combinations

I am sharing some of my favorite fresh juice combinations. Most of them are vegetable juices for a very good reason. Even though fresh fruit juice is better than canned fruit juice, in that it has live enzymes, it is still a “rush” of fructose to your system, and therefore can raise your blood sugar levels beyond what most people need.
