What is the best time to exercise?
Not trying to be flippant but the very best time to exercise is the time that you will actually do it.
No matter what any “expert” says is the “best” time to exercise, it does you no good, if that is not a time that will work for you with your schedule or with your established habits or with the times the local fitness club is open or with the times for your local weather to cooperate.
O.K., so there are certain times that are recommended, mainly, first thing in the morning, or before meals, and not too close to bedtime.
But if first thing in the morning will not work for you for whatever reason, stop beating yourself up about it, and just find a time that works for you.
If you need to exercise at your break times or lunch time at work, go for it! Stop worrying that it isn’t the “perfect” time.
If you need to exercise when you get home from work, go for it! Whatever time works into your schedule that you will actually do it is the “best” time!
If you need to wait until your baby takes a nap or until your kids are off to school, go for it! It always depends on what else is going on in your life!
