How Highly Does God Value His Own Word?

Cheryl Cope Posted on January 22, 2011 by Cheryl CopeMarch 6, 2021

How Highly Does God Value His Own Word?
He magnifies [makes greater] His Word above His name.

…for thou hast magnified [made greater] thy word above all thy name. Ps. 138:2 KJV

Because God magnifies His Word greater than His name we must first look at what He thinks of His name.

11 Ways to Help Your Fellow Man in 2011

God’s Purposes for Work

Cheryl Cope Posted on December 29, 2010 by Cheryl CopeMarch 6, 2021

Do you eat to work or do you work to eat? You could be doing both, but one thing is for sure, if you are able to work and you aren’t, then you shouldn’t be eating. I’m not talking about being laid off, that’s different. Besides, it’s not my idea anyway. It’s God’s.

Cheryl Cope Posted on December 23, 2010 by Cheryl CopeMarch 6, 2021

It’s Christmas time at our house and we’re putting up the tree.

Merry Christmas!

Cheryl Cope Posted on December 21, 2010 by Cheryl CopeMarch 6, 2021

I am thankful I can still say “Merry Christmas”, and don’t have to say “Happy Holidays”. I am thankful for the emphasis on Christ’s birthday at this time of year. I am thankful that I can openly speak about Christ in December, even “witness” to others about him.

Resisting Food Temptations the Christian Way

Pay close attention to when you catch yourself saying or thinking, “that sure looks tempting”, as it applies to food or drink. If you are thinking that something looks “tempting”, there is a really good chance that it actually is “tempting”, that is testing, trying, luring you into something that is not the best for you and that is possibly even a sin for you.

The Blessings In Adversity

Cheryl Cope Posted on December 16, 2010 by Cheryl CopeMarch 6, 2021

Blessings in adversity? In calamity? In affliction? In Distress?

Yes.

First off, God makes (not can make but does make) all things work together for our good if we love Him, as a Christian does. (Romans 8:28)

What some people forget is the definition of good in God’s eyes. It’s right there in the very next verse.
