Guest Blog Post: Why I Run — 4 Comments

  1. This article is me. I have said those words I used to run 4 days a week and walk 3 in the gym no less than 3 days a week. It was a priority.
After baby one I was 10lbs smaller and ran a 5k with him in a stroller at 4 months old. Age 38 baby #2 after 2 previous miscarriages. I looked in the mirror and could not believe the shape I had become. Who was that ! I began walking and quickly bought a fitbit to keep me pushing for 10000 steps a day. The weight began to shift and I could fill the person I remembered coming Alive again. I ran with my 9 yr because he wanted to race to the mail box and I did it without much effort 1/4 mile. It sparked am old feeling that I missed. At 47 I am working toward a 5k – 50 is just a number. 🙂

  2. Great inspirational post. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m also a runner. Sometimes I refer to it as therapy!
