The Longsuffering and Fortitude of God — 4 Comments

  1. I think the most encouraging thing about God being long-suffering is that not only is He long-suffering to those of us in Christ, but He is also long-suffering towards our lost loved ones. It’s an encouragement to me, because I am so impatient when it comes to praying and waiting for someone to get saved–I figure after a while that God’s given up and so should I. There is one instance I am thinking of in particular with a former friend. Although we have talked, we no longer are best friends, and we rarely speak to each other. But, I know that even though it has been almost a year, the Lord is long-suffering toward them and He would have that person saved. I pray every day for them, because I not only want our friendship back, but I want to see them leave behind their current ways of living and to live the life God purposed for them–to be the tool/person God designed them to be. So, it’s encouraging that the Lord is so long-suffering that He would not have our lost loved ones to perish, to go to hell, or to live a life without Him.

Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that cover the same subjects?
    Thank you so much!
