Christ’s Precious Blood part 3
Christ’s precious blood washes and cleanses us from our sins.
… the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 KJV
And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Rev 1:5 KJV
From Webster’s 1828 Dictionary cleanse means:
- to purify, to make clean
- to purify from guilt
From Webster’s 1828 Dictionary wash means:
- to cleanse by rubbing in water
- to purify from the pollution of sin
Why do we even need this washing or cleansing? All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God ( Rom. 3:23). The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Eze. 18:20). Every single person has sinned. We all deserve to die and go to hell. But God made a way to be cleansed and washed from our sins—through the precious blood of Jesus.
Jesus’ blood is pure and capable of washing us.
Jesus’ blood was pure, without sin.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. Heb. 4:15 KJV
Jesus’ blood was not corrupted by sin. Our blood and animal blood stains. Jesus’ blood does not stain, but washes away stains. Instead of blood that stains and makes dark spots Jesus’ blood cleans and makes things white like bleach!
…These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev. 7:14 KJV
Hallelujah!! I am washed! I am cleansed! I am purified from sin! I am purified from guilt! I am made clean by the precious blood of Jesus! All my sins are washed away and I am made white, clean and pure. Thank you Jesus!
